"She is one of the most electrifying speakers in North America," says Meeting and Conventions magazine. Her clients agree. "Fripp is the most reliable, versatile, easy to work with, hassle-free, customer-friendly speaker we've ever booked," says Dan Maddux, Executive Director of the American Payroll Assn.
Patricia Fripp CSP, CPAE was a successful entrepreneur in a service industry for twenty-four years. Today she is an award-winning international speaker who has addressed audiences on four continents.
The first woman president of the National Speakers Association (1984-85), she received their CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) designation in 1981 and their CPAE Hall of Fame Award in 1983 for professionalism and excellence in speaking. In 1996 she received the Cavett Award, the annual "Oscar" of the National Speakers Association. Fripp was the founder and president of the largest National Speakers Association chapter, NSA/Northern California. A leadership award, the "Frippy," has been named after her, and she is a member of the prestigious Speakers Roundtable, consisting of twenty-two of the most successful, in-demand speakers in the country.
Patricia Fripp's latest book is, MAKE IT, So You Don't Have to FAKE IT! (55 Fast-Acting Strategies for Long-Lasting Success). Her book Get What You Want, has sold more than 40,000 copies. She is a contributing author to Insights Into Excellence and Speaking Secrets of the Masters, along with top national speakers like Brian Tracy and Ken Blanchard.
Patricia Fripp is the star of many training videos, including Travel the Road to Success: An Adventure in Customer Service and Survival in the Workplace 2000. She stars in The Bullet Proof manager Series, sold in 58 countries and translated into 28 languages.
Fripp averages 130 programs yearly for corporations including IBM, Motorola, AT&T and Sony, and for associations including the American Cemetery Association, the American Payroll Association, and the American Society of Association Executives. Her high-content, high-performance, user-friendly delivery brings uniform raves as she shares what she has learned from her wide experience with top corporations. Many of her clients use her in multiple slots on an ongoing basis, year after year. One of her favorite assignments is one-on-one speech coaching with executives and industry leaders on site just before a conference or convention. She also coaches groups such as managers, salespeople, trainers, and marketers -- people who need to direct, persuade, and sell their ideas. Fripp is known for transforming sales teams.
Her solid business background started when she went to work at age fifteen in her native England. At twenty, she arrived in San Francisco without a job, home, or contacts, just an invincible determination to succeed. By 1969 she was being featured in the media as one of the first women in the new field of men's hairstyling.
She was so successful that soon she was asked to give seminars for the hairstyling industry. Then her executive clients asked her to speak at their Rotary Clubs and sales meetings. She talked about customer service and business promotion, sharing funny and inspiring stories from "behind the chair." Gradually, she found that speaking had become her career.
In her spare time, Fripp is very involved in her community and a major fund raiser for the Leukemia Society. And in our dazzling computer age, she is an innovator in using technology to connect and get her message across.
