Sheila has authored two books; her latest, Making A Difference, 12 Qualities That Make You A Leader, is a best seller, published in four languages and sold in seven countries. She is contributor to two other books, Building A Better You, which is about personal excellence, and Reflections on Leadership, which also features Peter Senge, M. Scott Peck and other leadership experts. She authored a monograph written exclusively for ASAE's Leadership Foundation entitled Beyond Management to Leadership: Designing the 21st Century Association. Her columns and articles are published regularly worldwide. In addition, Sheila is author of sixteen audio/video training programs benefitting organizations and people around the world.

Successful Businesswoman Sheila's business career began in her twenties when she accepted the challenge of becoming coordinator of an institute that trained brain-injured children. There she received an on-the-job degree in human development and performance. She went on to an award-winning sales and sales management career, building two successful organizations. Her business acumen gives her special insights into the issues so critical in today's competitive marketplace. As Chair of the Bethel Institute, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sheila has served on the adjunct faculties of Indiana-Purdue University, San Francisco State University, and the University of Southern California. She is a member of the Institute of Certified Business Counselors and has earned the CBC designation. In 1990 Sheila interfaced with the White House and the Polish Parliament to consult with and train Polish businesses being transformed by privatization. She established the first privately owned business training center in Eastern Europe, located in Opole, Poland.
